WAKEFIELD, Mich. - LuDene Marie (Dums) Johnson, 70, of Wakefield, passed away suddenly Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015.
LuDene was born on Feb. 11, 1945, in Wakefield, the daughter of William and Madeline (Aspinwall) Dums. She attended school in Wakefield.
On Dec. 17, 1968, LuDene was united in marriage to John Stanley Johnson in Wakefield.
LuDene is survived by two daughters, Sheryl (Van) Odeneal, of Paris, Texas, and Sue Ann Johnson (companion Jim Chiapuzio), of Bessemer; three grandchildren, whom she dearly loved, Ryan Raye Odeneal, and Brett James and Allison Olivia Chiapuzio; two brothers, Chester (Sandy) Dums and Clifford Dums; her sister-in-law, Kathleen "Tootsie" Dums; her brother-in-law and his wife, Jim and Darlene Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, on Oct. 15, 2014; and brother, Wilfred "Willie" Dums.
In accordance with LuDene's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at the Lakeside Memorial Chapel in Wakefield, with the Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating.
Following the service, lunch will be served at the home of Sue Ann and Jim.
