IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — David F. Hautala, 51, of Ironwood Township, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at his home.
David was born May 9, 1964, in Bessemer Township, the son of the late David H. and Walburga (Schwab) Hautala.
David graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. He worked at the White Pine Mine for a time and at Ramme Collision Center. Dave was currently employed at the Grand View Hospital in Ironwood in the housekeeping department.
One of David’s favorite hobbies was cars. He enjoyed working on them and going to car shows, including Iola and Jefferson, Wis. David was a collector of antiques and Coca-Cola memorabilia.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Steven Selin) Hautala, of Ramsay; his granddaughter, Aubrie; two sisters, Debbie (Paul) Bush, of Newberry, and Christine (John) Matiska, of Ironwood; nieces and nephews, Christopher (Mary Ann) Bush, Kerri (Jimmy) Dunn, Clinton Matiska and John (Penny) Matiska.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will be held.
