William Peter 'Pete' Coleman

IRONWOOD, Mich. - William Peter "Pete" Coleman, 79, of Ironwood, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, in Ironwood. He was born July 26, 1936, in Ironwood, the son of Wiljo and Gladys (Saari) Coleman.

Pete attended Bessemer Schools and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in 1954. Pete was a resident of Westgate Nursing Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Community since 2008. He was previously employed at Johnson Motors in Kenosha, Wis., for 25 years.

Pete is survived by his two sisters, Marion Froberg, of Schererville, Ind., and Jean Marttila, of Tawas, and their families. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Carol; and by his beloved sister, Shirley Coleman Bennetts.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, Oct. 29, at Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood, with Rev. Kurt Kovanan officiating.
