WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Mary Margaret Mudge, 70, formerly Hill and Modjewski, entered into eternal life on Nov. 27, 2015, in Woodstock, from complications of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, surrounded by her daughters and their families.
Born May 1, 1945, in Bessemer, Mich., she is survived by her husband, Dr. Thomas J. Mudge. of Marquette, Mich .; daughters, Jennifer (Cedric) Ballarin. of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Robyn (Michael) Clancy of Woodstock; granddaughters, Axelle and Ainsley Ballarin and Elle and Caroline Clancy; sister, Nola (David) Maki; and brother, James (Sabina) Modjewski; former husband, Dennis P. Hill; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Gertrude Modjewski.
She was a longtime resident of Negaunee and Marquette, Mich., and was a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The family wishes to express sincerest gratitude for the multitude of support throughout her illness from her friends and caregivers. She will always be remembered for her love, care, thoughtfulness, faith, selflessness, sparkling personality and the way she knew how to make each person she came in contact with feel so special. She was cherished and loved by so many and will live forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Marquette. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon with a memorial mass to begin at noon. A reception will follow the mass at 1 p.m.
