HURLEY — Hurley area residents may drop off used winter clothing at the Chamber of Commerce office at 316 Silver St. for a Wisconsin Department of Tourism charity drive.
The effort will continue through Jan. 3 and clothing may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Coats, sweaters, hats, mittens and other “gently used” warm clothing items are being collected to support local charities.
A box is located at the chamber office and all items donated will be given to the Hurley K-12 School, Hurley Head Start and The Treasure House.
“The Big Bundle Up” campaign is a statewide effort in its fifth year. So far, more than 49,000 items of clothing have been collected.
