ONTONAGON — The annual Aspirus Ontonagon Christmas Concert will be held Friday, Dec. 11, at the Ontonagon Theater of the Performing Arts. The event will benefit both the Aspirus Laboratory and Long-Term Care Facility.
The 7 p.m. concert, which is organized and staged by Foundation President Jim Jessup, will feature some familiar voices and some new to the Christmas show.
Jessup, Yvonne, Blake, Jennifer, Genevieve and Veronica Weaver, and Jim Brogan return to the stage and are joined this year by Bob Hiltunen, who is not new to the Ontonagon Theater of the Performing Arts but new to the Christmas show. Another new group called the Saucy Rovers, Leo Siren, Eric Hopper, Erin Luoto and Dave Koistinen will present a medley of the worlds most loved Christmas music.
The theater stage has been converted to a Christmas wonderland of trees, nativity scene, church and snow.
The Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Foundation has voted to give the proceeds of the show to help purchase a centrifuge for the lab and an automated external defibrillator for the long-term care facility.
