WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Addie C. Conley, 94, of Wakefield, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016.
Addie was born on April 1, 1921, in Haldeman, Ky., a son of Breckenridge and Laura (Fraley) Conley. He attended school in Morehead, Ky.
Addie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in military police during World War II and later in the European African Theatre in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Addie was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
On Nov. 24, 1952, Addie was united in marriage to Rosemary Hamilton.
He was a logger and a construction worker.
Addie is survived by his son, Tracy, of Wakefield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemary, on Sept. 3, 2007; and all of his brothers and sisters.
A graveside service, with military honors, and interment will take place at Marenisco Cemetery in the spring.
