WAKEFIELD - The Wakefield City Council interviewed seven potential candidates for the available city manager position this week.
On Wednesday, the city council interviewed Perry Franzoi, Eva Smith-Fergason and Mary Servia.
On Friday, the council interviewed Mike Womack, Jason Laumann and Richard Brackney.
The council will also interview Thomas Budgick in the future.
Lawrence Kapugia and Michael Lee withdrew their names, according to information from the council.
During the interviews, Mayor Joe DelFavero asked candidates questions regarding what it means to be a city manager, how they work with the public and the council, their experience with obtaining money for the city and how they will put Wakefield on the map.
The council will discuss the candidates and make a decision in the future. The council's next regular meeting is Monday.
