WAUSAU, Wis. — Daniel Patrick Dunn, 50, of Ironwood, Mich., passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, with his family by his side at Asprius Wausau Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1965, in Milwaukee, to William (Jack) Dunn and Delores Dunn Spets.
Dan enjoyed spending time with his family, fixing the unfixable and he was a collector of unique “treasures.”
He is survived by siblings, Darlene (Terry) Erickson, Jacalyn (Merwin) Hudson, David (Ann Marie) Spets and Jason (Carrie) Spets; and sister-in-law, Laura Dunn.
He will be missed by nieces, Tera (Troy) Ableman, Deanna (Kevin) Habeck, Tiffany (William) Naatz, Tamara (Brian) Boeseneilers, Cassie Dunn, Ashley (Manuel) Garcia and Alyssa Gabbert; and nephews, Connor, Brendan and Brady Spets.
Dan was a thoughtful, caring and fun-loving Great Uncle to Olivia, Autumn, Chloe, Liam, Addison, Maverick and Preston.
Dan is preceded in death by parents; stepfather; grandparents; and brothers, Richard Dunn and Scott Dunn, as well as Scott’s wife, Soo, and their children, Billy and Jesse.
At Dan’s request there will be a private family service at a later date.
The family is especially grateful for the ICU staff at Asprius Wausau Hospital. A special thanks to Michelle and Sara for all the compassion shown Dan and his family.
