Paul J. Soyka

FOWLER, Mich. — Paul J. Soyka, 84, of Fowler, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at home with family by his side.

Paul was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Winegar, Wis., the son of Max and Nancy (Brandenburg) Soyka. He married Pauline Drazkowski on April 11, 1951. Paul worked as a federal mine inspector for many years before retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his family deeply.

He is survived by his children, Ronald (Barb) Soyka, Connie Gibbs, David (Marsha) Soyka, Melinda Rossell, Nanette (Randy) Frechen and Timothy (Cindy) Soyka; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and many dear friends he called family.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, and granddaughter, Sheena Soyka.

Per Paul’s wishes a cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
