HURLEY — A Mercer, Wis., man who is charged with human trafficking and false imprisonment is scheduled to be arraigned in Iron County Court on March 31.
Jason Sheehan, 29, is accused of forcing a deaf woman with a neurological disorder to eat mold, drink urine and eat cat feces.
The alleged victim told authorities Sheehan had hit her with a hot baking ban, threw boiling water on her, and struck her with an electric fly swatter.
Sheehan is also charged with felony theft from the woman.
He is being represented by Joseph Hoffmann.
Iron County District Attorney Marty Lipske brought the charges against Sheehan.
Court records show a $5,000 signature bond was previously set by Judge Patrick Madden under the conditions that Sheehan have no contact with the alleged victim.
The criminal complaint was filed on Sept. 29.
