Spring Thaw

MICHAEL SCHMAUS of the Tune Squad drives to the basket in the opening game of the 25th annual Spring Thaw basketball tournament on Friday at the Gogebic Community College's Lindquist Center. The Tune Squad defeated The Mighty Ducks 51-37. There are 35 five-person teams participating in the tournament which continues through Sunday's championship games. Today's action begins at 7:30 this morning and continues throughout the day, with the concession stand open. Proceeds from the event are used to support the GCC basketball program.
