DEARBORN, Mich. - Cecelia (Matazel) Sullivan, 104, died March 31, 20l6, at the Oakwood Common Assisted Living Center in Dearborn.
She was born to Leopold and Cecelia Turzak Matazel on Oct. 23, 1911, in Spisska Nova Ves, Austria-Hungary. She immigrated to Ironwood with her parents and her sister in 1913.
Cecelia married her beloved husband, Thomas Eugene Sullivan, of Ironwood, on April 28, 1934, in Chicago.
She was predeceased by her parents; seven siblings; her husband, Thomas (July 7, 1976); and her loving daughter, Mary L. Oz (Sept. 17, 2015).
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen and Christine; two grandchildren, Colleen Oz (Michael) Manquen, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Oz; and one great-grandson, Connor Jack Manquen. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her cremains will be interred at Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oakwood Common Employee Appreciation Fund, 16351 Rotunda Dr., Dearborn, MI.
