IRONWOOD — Two events related to the Ironwood stretch of the Iron Belle Trail are planned.
Next Saturday at 10 a.m., a trail clean-up effort is planned. Volunteers will meet at Depot Park, behind the post office building, where they can pick up garbage bags and receive directions.
The Friends of the Iron Belle Trail will provide grilled bratwursts and drinks for volunteers.
On Sunday, May 8, there will be a Mothers Day Walk along the trail, hosted by the FIBT. The community walk will begin at 2 p.m. from Depot Park.
“This will be a fun opportunity to get outside and enjoy the new regional walking-biking trail, get some exercise and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow trail enthusiasts,” said city manager Scott Erickson.
The Friends group will provide refreshments for the participants.
