MILWAUKEE — Frank Anthony Bednar found peace and was welcomed into God’s loving arms on April 12, 2016.
He was born on June 23, 1941, in Ironwood, Mich., son of the late Frank and Ann Bednar. As a child he resided in the Ironwood area and attended Ironwood schools.
Frank is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Koski); son, Frank Jr. (Jayne); daughters, Karin and SuAnne (Matthew Schuster). Proud grandfather of Lauren and Jenna, he was the brother of Mary Ann Mohr and Thomas (Kathleen.) He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His passion was woodworking and reading. After retirement, he volunteered for 12 years at the Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Adoration Lutheran Church, 3840 W. Edgerton Ave., Milwaukee, from 1 to 2 p.m., with a funeral service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Oak Creek Public Library or Adoration Lutheran Church appreciated.
