WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Robert V. Gutowski, 91, of Wakefield, formerly of Bessemer, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in Wakefield.
He was born Sept. 4, 1924, in Superior, Wis., son of the late John and Pauline (Mojeck) Gutowski.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 with the Company F 188th Glider Infantry. He was a truck driver for various steel mills for much of his life.
A graveside military service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 27, VFW Post 3673 Honor Guard of Bessemer.
