Dennis C. Nolan

DULUTH, Minn. - Dennis C. Nolan, 75, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home on May 19, 2016.

He was born Dec. 24, 1940, in Ironwood, Mich., to Clarence and Garnet Nolan. After graduating from J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley, Wis., he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served honorably for three years. He worked for American Motors, later Chrysler, for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2001.

Dennis enjoyed swimming and keeping up with world events. He will be remembered by his family for his kindness, generosity and his love of Joe's pasties.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John "Zack."

Dennis will be greatly missed by his sister, Jean, nieces and nephews and their families, especially his nephew, Cliff, who took him to appointments, on outings and prepared many meals for him on the grill; and by life-long friends, Ronnie and Dorothy Nevela.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 24, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m., at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, with the Rev. Robb Jurkovich, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood officiating.

Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, where a flag presentation ceremony will be accorded by members of the Ironwood American Legion Post 5 Honor Guard.
