WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Muriel Elizabeth (Pezzetti) Vidakovich, 90, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016.
Muriel was born on Dec. 2, 1925, in Wakefield, a daughter of John Joseph and Anna Elizabeth (Johnson) Pezzetti. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1943.
On Oct. 25, 1946, Muriel married Nick Vidakovich in Wakefield.
She was a faithful member of All Saints Lutheran Church and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Wakefield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9084.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, talking with her friends and family on the telephone and watching television.
Muriel is survived by a son, John, Wakefield; a daughter, Jayme (Jim) Grambow, Wakefield; a granddaughter, Courtney Grambow, Wakefield; a brother, Don (Joelyn) Pezzetti, Wakefield; her two sisters-in-law, Helen Sailer, Ramsay, and Doris Vidakovich, of California; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Nick, on March 4, 2001; two brothers, Jim Pezzetti and John Pezzetti, in infancy; her two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ardith and Milt Krznarich, Judith and Dennis Ravelli and Robert Sailer; Nick's four brothers, Pete, Mike, Steve and George Vidakovich; and Nick's two sisters, Ann White and Beatrice Sowa.
Per Muriel's wishes, a private funeral service will be held at the Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. The Rev. Bill Jacobson will officiate. Interment will follow.
