ONTONAGON, Mich. — Lawrence A. Hamm, 101, of Ontonagon, died early Thursday June 9, 2016, at home.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1914, to Elmer and Louise Hamm. He worked as a logger and spent 30 years as a member of the Operator Engineers Union.
He married Delilah Pearl Picotte in 1934.
He is survived by his son, Gilbert Hamm, of Ontonagon; daughter, Judith (James) Griffin, of Ironwood; John (Sue) Hamm, of Ontonagon; Lawrence R. (Mary) Hamm, of Ontonagon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Nancy McManus; son, Gaylord; grandson, Timmy Briske; and grandson, Gilbert Jr.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 13, at the Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon.
