OCONOMOWOC, Wis. — John Stanczak, 85, formerly of Pembine and Brown Deer, was born to eternal life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
John is survived by his children, John (Donna), Lynda (Jim) Riddle, Bryan (Dawn), Randy (Jacqueline), Scott (Cari), Gregg (Kelli) and Dawn (Jim) Hecht; his grandchildren, Erica (Greg) Lampert, Monica (Chad) Phelps, Allen (Christy), Danielle, Adam (Pam), Jennifer (Scott) Pospychalla, Michael Stanczak, Sarah and Jimmy Hecht; his great-grandchildren, Ava and Tyler Lampert, Collin and Lauren Phelps, Jenna (Thomas) Browne, and Brayden and Kinley Stanczak; his great-great-granddaughter, Aryanna Browne. He is also survived by Rhyll O’Keefe, Erin Wolfe and companion, Elna Hulbert, along with many other loving family and friends.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Stanczak (nee Hall) of 51 years; his parents, John and Veronica; his sisters, Ceila (Norval) Barker and Isabelle (Peter) Priante, along with her late husband, Joseph Kasieta.
John served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a radio mate first class during the Korean Conflict. John was proprietor of Dobbco TV for over 30 years, he had strong faith in the Lord, was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors and camping. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, gardening and digging with his backhoe.

Services will be held for John at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 1001 S. Silver Lake St., Oconomowoc, on Monday, July 18, at noon. A visitation for family and friends will start at 10 a.m. A private family burial will take place at a later time.
