Fuychsia Felicity Jewell

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Just six days after coming into this world, Fuychsia Felicity Jewell went to be with the Angels while being held in her parents loving arms at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. During that short time, she touched many lives and was loved by all who met her.

Born nearly six weeks early at Froedtert Hospital, and weighing only 4 pounds, 13 ounces, Fuychsia was still able to respond to her parents’ touch during her brief stay on earth. She had a head full of beautiful black hair, just like her two big sisters when they were born. She loved the bottom of her feet being caressed and her tiny hands being held.

Fuychsia is survived by her parents, Frank and Amanda Jewell, Montreal; her sisters, Wysteria and Azaylia; her paternal grandparents, Tom and Darlene Jewell, Mukwonago; maternal grandmother, Teresa Henning (Joe Kasper), Gurney; maternal grandfather, Ron Basom (Joyce Dalbeck), Wakefield, Mich .; paternal great-grandparents, Don and Pat Jewell, Milwaukee, and Frank and Marge Hallfeld, Wauwatosa; maternal great-grandparents, Mike Henning (Jean Seiter), Kimball, and Myron Basom, Bullhead City, Ariz .; uncles, John Jewell, Mukwonago, and Shawn Basom and Clayton Schimke, both of Kimball; and numerous great-aunts and great-uncles.

Fuychsia joins her maternal great-grandmothers, Lynda Henning and Illeene Basom; and great-aunt, Lisa Waldros, in Heaven.

Private family services and interment will be held.

The family would like to thank the Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee staff for their efforts and the Ronald McDonald House of Milwaukee.

McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Inc., Ironwood, Mich., is assisting the family. Condolences may be sent to 142 Wisconsin Ave., Montreal, WI 54550, or shared online at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.

“Heaven’s Rocking Chair”

By Ron Tranmer

Are there rocking chairs in Heaven where little babies go?

Do the Angels hold you closely and rock you to and fro?

My heart is aching for you, my angel child so dear.

You brought such joy into my life, the short time you were here.

I know you’re in a happy place, and in God’s loving care.

I dream each night I’m rocking you in Heaven’s rocking chair.
