MENASHA, Wis. - Ronald G. Kuusisto Sr., 73, of Menasha, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at his residence.
He was born in Hurley, on March 10, 1943, son of William Eino and Elsie (Toivonen) Kuusisto. Ronald married MaryAnn Schmidt on Dec. 29, 1969.
Ronald served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Naval Air Technician. He was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Menasha. Ronald was a firearm enthusiast, and was an active member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. Ronald was always willing to help others in need. His greatest enjoyment came from his time he was able to spend with his family, and dear friends, Martin, Steve, Chuck, Norman and Bill.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, MaryAnn; his three children, Donna Kuusisto, Menasha, Ronald Jr. (Charney), Appleton, and Joseph, Neenah; his mother, Elsie; 10 grandchildren, Nick Kuusisto, Champagne Hund, Sierra Hund, Ronald Kuusisto III, Cal King, Garret King, Kansas King, Joseph Kuusisto Jr., Jacob Kuusisto, and Rylee Kuusisto; his brother, William "Bill" Kuusisto; and sister, Elizabeth Kuusisto. Ronald is further survived by his foster child, Steve Breeze; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Eino; and a sister and brother-in-law: Marilyn (Dave) Cunningham.
Memorial service for Ronald will be noon on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton, with Rev Stephanie Lorenz officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
