GREEN, Mich. - Terry L. Reid passed away at his home, Cranberry Corner, in Green on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016.
He was born in Standardville, Utah, Aug. 12, 1945, to Clarence and Melba (Bean) Reid.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phylis; brothers, Richard and Keith; and sister-in-law, Anneli Kekke.
Terry is survived by Bob Kekke, his partner/spouse of 35 years; daughter, Kori, of Helper, Utah; brother, Ike (Im) Reid, of Rio Rancho, N.M .; sisters, Jean Spadafora, of Glendale, Ariz., Carol Wilstead, of Orangeville, Utah, Linda (Bill) Haycock, of Helper, Utah; brother-in-law, David Kekke, of Argyle, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.
Terry graduated from Carbon High School in Price, Utah, with the class of 1963 and then attended the College of Eastern Utah in Price. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict as a corpsman and served his duty at the U.S. Naval base in Yokosuka, Japan.
He then worked for Ma Bell in Utah before beginning his career with the U.S. Defense Logistic Agency, serving bases in Tucson, Thule, Greenland, and Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska, with numerous TDY assignments throughout the U.S. He retired in 2000 from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska as a marketing specialist. In 2006, Terry and Bob moved to their home, Cranberry Corner, in Green.
Private celebrations of life will be held at their home in Green and in Helper, Utah. Any memorials are requested to go to the Ontonagon Cancer Society or OCAP.
