Allen W. Larson

PAYNESVILLE, Mich. — Allen W. Larson, 69, passed away at his home, Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016.

Allen was born on March 3, 1947, to Wilbert R. Larson and Ida M. Anderson. He graduated from Ewen High School, class of 1966 and attended Northern Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching.

Allen was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Paynesville. He worked for the Ontonagon Valley Coop Creamery until there closure and then the Settlers Coop, Inc. for the past 12 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, astronomy, reading and going to Char’s Café.

Allen is survived by his brother, Marvin (Karen) Larson of Bruce Crossing; three nephews, David (Jodi) Larson of Mattawan, Karl (Georgeann) Larson of Hancock, and Alexander Larson of Bruce Crossing; tand wo grandnieces, Marin and Aria Larson of Mattawan.

Visitation for Allen will be Friday, Sept. 7, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, in Paynesville, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 am. Pastor David Taivalkoski will officiate.

The Cane Funeral Home of Bruce Crossing is assisting the family.
