Mercer woman faces chamber theft charges

Hurley — A Nov. 8 initial appearance has been set in Iron County Court for a Mercer, Wis., woman who faces three counts of theft from a business setting.

A criminal complaint against Tina M. Brunell, 45, who is charged in her role with the Mercer Area Chamber of Commerce, was filed on Oct. 18, according to court records.

The three felonies accuse Brunell of theft in a business setting of more than $10,000; theft in a business setting between $5,000 and $10,000, and obtaining money or credit by identity theft.

According to court records, Brunell has retained Joseph Rafferty Jr. as her attorney.

The court appearance is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
