AFTER THE STORM

Pheifer Brothers Construction Company uses cranes to place 125-foot-long pre-cast concrete beams over Vaughn Creek Wednesday in Gurney, Wis. They will use four beams standing 6 feet high to construct a bridge that will reopen Wisconsin 169 after it was washed out in the July 11 storm. The project is estimated at $1.3 million.
