IRONWOOD - Ironwood's Downtown Art Place opened a show featuring local student artwork Wednesday.
Art teachers from the Wakefield-Marenisco, Bessemer, Ironwood and Hurley schools submitted art work for the show, according to a DAP news release. Pieces from the "Dabble at the DAP" program are also on display.
The show is scheduled to run to Nov. 10 in conjunction with the Historic Ironwood Theatre's "HIT Idol" competition.
The work will be displayed in the theater's concourse, and it can be viewed during the DAP's hours - Tuesday through Saturday, between noon and 4 p.m. - and Friday and Saturday during HIT Idol performances, with doors opening at 6 p.m. for the competitions.
