HURLEY POLICE officer Donald Packmayer watches for walkers in the Thanksgiving Day Trot-4-Food in Hurley. The Iron County Health Department and Hurley Area Chamber of Commerce event had 60 people pre-register and more show up at the 8 a.m. start. Unlike previous years with below-zero weather, it was around 32 degrees Thursday. Streets were slippery, but spirits were high, as participants worked up appetites for their Thanksgiving Day meals. Proceeds go to feed needy families in Iron and Gogebic counties.
