Judith 'Judy' (Estola) King

PETALUMA, Calif. — Judith “Judy” (Estola) King went to be with her Lord on Nov. 14, 2016, peacefully in her home in Petaluma.

Judy was born Sept. 1, 1933, the 12th of 13 children of William and Ada Estola, of Ironwood, Mich. After graduating from Luther L. Wright High School, Judy moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., where she was employed by Hoover Ball and Bearing.

She later moved to San Francisco, where she lived with her brother, Elmer, and his wife, Mae, until her marriage to Raymond King.

Judy and Ray bought a ranch and made their permanent home in Petaluma, where they enjoyed raising horses. Judy was involved in many activities and especially loved being part of all her church functions.

She is survived by her loving children, Debi (Bill) Willadsen and Steve (Mary); and her devoted grandsons, Nick and Zak King. Also surviving are her brother, Reino (Doris) Estola; sisters, Helen Carr and Ada Hurula; and many dear nieces, nephews and close friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray; her parents; and siblings, Arnie, Mildred, Walter, Elmer, Aune, Irene, Inez, Vienna and Don.

Judy will be remembered for her love for her family, friends and community, bright smile, warm and easy laugh, optimism, love for the Oakland Raiders, her annual Easter Sunday dinners for family and friends, and her gift boxes of shelled walnuts (from her walnut tree) every Christmas.
