FIRST-TIME SKIER Falena Oberst, 6, moves out around the track as her mother and volunteers look on Friday. Ironwood's K-12 public school loaned skis and snowshoes to the Depot Dash event so young kids could get exposure to the races at the SISU Nordic Ski Festival. Races were set for this morning.
