Ironwood - The Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees met on Tuesday afternoon to swear in members and elect officers for the next year. The meeting was a jovial affair with significant banter, while also capturing the necessary tasks and putting purpose to them.
Linda Gustafson swore in Susan Beals, Susan Murphy and Tim Kolesar to warm up the meeting before the real mission came into focus.
John Lupino was elected to hold the office of chairman for another term. Following Lupino, Bill Malloy is the new vice-chairman. Susan Beals repeats as secretary and Kolesar takes over as treasurer.
Following the election of the officers, the next year's meetings were designated to fall on the final Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. Tom Brown repeats as the college representative to the MCCA Board of Directors and Bill Malloy is the Alternate for the next year.
