Early Arrival

AS JANUARY'S thaw continues in north Ironwood on Saturday afternoon, Doreen Auvinen holds a toad found in her driveway. Tom Auvinen said the family dogs were on the deck barking at the toad, trying to move it across the ice when Doreen took it and put it under some dirt by the warm basement walls, hopefully for a long winters nap.
