CHRISTMAS TREES sit at the north end of the parking lot at the Norrie Club awaiting their final sendoff in a shower of sparks, flame and smoke. The eighth annual Christmas Tree Burn at the Norrie Club, near the Hiawatha statue and behind Randa Field, is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m., with the trees going up in flame at 7. They are still accepting trees and will even pick up your tree if you call them.
