Car Fire

IRONWOOD PUBLIC Safety Department officer Adam Clemens douses the rear end of a vehicle that burned around 12:40 p.m. Monday. The driver said he pulled over into the Depot Park parking lot when his 2000 vehicle caught fire in the heater area. He said the dashboard melted resulting in some plastic burns on his hands as he tried to douse the fire before the IPSD arrived. The intense fire sent heavy smoke over the downtown for a short period on a dreary day.
