ASHLAND, Wis. - The Hurley boys were a close second and the Ironwood girls were runner-up as Ashland swept its home track-and-field invite, the Welker, Monday.
A chilly day with a strong wind off Lake Superior only got colder when it clouded up later in the meet.
The Midgets finished just eight points behind Ashland, 138-130. Ironwood was fourth with Mercer seventh.
