L’ANSE, Mich. — Susan Novak, a long-time resident of Ewen, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017, at the Bayside Village in L’Anse.
Susan was 58 years young and was born on Oct. 10, 1958, in Wakefield, to John and Mary Novak.
Susan loved doing puzzles, magazines and taking walks outside.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Novak.
She is survived by her brother, Mike (Ruth), in Green Bay, Wis .; sister, Delores Jean (Kurt), in White Bear Lake, Minn .; and brother, Robert (Alice), in Gilman, Wis. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Yvonne Novak, in Eau Claire, Wis., Jeff (Jennifer) Novak, in Luxemburg, Wis., William (Mary) Novak, in Alexandria, Va., and Elise and Paul Melanson, in White Bear Lake; and six grandnieces and grandnephews, Haley Gibbons, Hannah Gibbons and Hope Gibbons, in Eau Claire, Jillian Novak and Devin Novak, in Luxemburg, and John E. Novak, in Arlington, Va.
Visitation for family and friends begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ewen, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father Antony Kalapura. Immediately after the Mass, a graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen, then a luncheon at Sacred Heart Church.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family requests that donations be made to the Aurora House, 125 Woods Ave., L’Anse, MI 49946 in Susan’s name.
The family is being assisted by the Cane Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing, Michigan.
