DULUTH, Minn. - Elizabeth "Betty" "Bonnie" Jane Cebolski, 78, of Bessemer Mich., passed on to eternal life on July 4, 2017, at Essentia Hospital in Duluth.
One of Bonnie's last requests was to be able to see the Fourth of July parades this year, and she made sure she was able to see the entire Bessemer parade without anyone standing in front of her.
Elizabeth was born on April 14, 1939, in Bessemer to the late John and Pearl Cebolski. Bonnie was raised in Bessemer, where she attended A.D. Johnston High School, graduating in 1957. After graduation, Bonnie attended Gogebic Community College and upon graduation, moved to Southfield Mich., where she worked as a secretary for Star Furniture and then Filmore and Fareway Construction. Upon her retirement in 2004, Bonnie moved back to her home town of Bessemer.
Bonnie loved to watch football, baseball, basketball and hockey on TV. Her favorite teams were the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings, and anyone who was playing the Green Bay Packers.
Bonnie never married and never had any children, but she always felt her nieces and nephews to be the next best thing to her own children.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Muriel and Rich David; a brother-in-law, Eugene Fudaley; two nieces, Lori Cebolski and Arlene Fudaley; and a nephew, Jim Thiede.
She is survived by a brother, Jim (Karin) Cebolski and their children, Linda (Neal) Nelson, Scotty (Dana) Cebolski and Kristin (Mike) King; a sister, Margaret Fudaley and her children, Marilee and Geno Fudaley, Jackie Thiede and Kathy Jo (Jim) Koval; and a sister, Charleen (Bill) Bennetts and their children, Greg (Pat) and David (Laura) Bennetts; and her nieces, Barbara (Jack) Hills, Sandra (Bob) Maki, Ricky (Diane) David and Billy David.
Cremation has taken place with the assistance of Range Funeral Services, Frick Zielinski Funeral Home.
A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held on Aug. 13 at the home of Linda and Neal Nelson at 3 p.m. All friends and family are welcome. Luncheon will be served.
