MATT HELLMAN, A.D. Johnston graduate, drives a Bobcat and clears the infield of accumulated weeds and grass during the Massie Field restoration project in Bessemer on Thursday morning before the rains came. John Hellman, also an A.D. Johnston graduate, said they were removing the old dirt and grass for next week's delivery of new infield material from Minnesota. Hellman said the Bobcat really does a good job and they were surprised to discover a layer of high quality clay around second base, which they decided to keep on the field.
