Beverly Ann Hermle

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Beverly Ann Hermle, 77, of Ironwood, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.

The former Beverly Ann Doepke was born on a large family farm near Wilton, N.D., to Oscar and Myrtle Doepke on March 29, 1940. She was the ninth of 12 children. She graduated from Washburn, N.D., High School in 1958 and attended Vennard College in University Park, Iowa. It is there she met her first husband, Wayne E. Schneider, and they married in August 1960. In 1987, she graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, as an RN.

Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband and both parents.

She is survived by her children, Tangie (Rusty) Granzella, Roy (Arlie) Schneider, Rhonda (James) Arroyo, Stacy Schneider-Carter and Eric Schneider. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Heather Granzella, Dakota Granzella, Dillon Granzella, Ashley Carter, Skylar Carter, Autumn Carter, Cali Schneider, Anthony Arroyo and Isabella Arroyo. She also has three great-grandsons.

In addition, Beverly is survived by her sisters, Marlys Peterson, Shirley Eman and Audrey Pauling; also her brothers, Kenny Doepke, Rodney Dopeke, all of whom reside in North Dakota, and David Doepke, who lives in Polson, Mont.

In March 1989, Beverly married Douglas Hermle in Omaha, Neb. They both worked at and retired from the Omaha VA Medical Center. In 2004, they moved to Ironwood. Beverly was an RN at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility, retiring from there in 2009.

Beverly was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ironwood. She remained a faithful Christian in her lifetime and spoke often of her desire to be with the Lord for all eternity. Bev loved life and all that the Lord gave her. She cared deeply for her husband, her children and grandchildren, and had great affection for her kitties and all of God's creatures.

"Jesus alone can bring joy to your heart, meaning to your life, and hope in the face of death."

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 817 E. Margaret St. in Ironwood with the Rev. Kurt Brandon officiating. Her body will be cremated. Any donations please give to HOPE Animal Shelter in Ironwood in her name.
