MARENISCO, Mich. – Helen W. Allen, 85, a long-time resident of Marenisco, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 17, 2017.
Helen was born on April 3, 1932, in Owosso, a daughter of Clarence and Goldie (Mason) Wilcox.
On April 15, 1950, Helen was united in marriage to Clarence “Junior” Allen in Owosso. They were blessed with four sons.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at Gogebic Medical Care Facility of many years.
Helen is survived by three sons, Ed (Jody), Lake Gogebic, David (Connie), Ishpeming, and Joe (Annette), Marenisco; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Junior, on Feb. 28, 2007; and a son, Tom.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m., preceded by visitation at 3 p.m., at Lakeside Memorial Chapel, 806 Putnam St., in Wakefield. The Rev. Bill Jacobson will officiate.
Inurnment will take place in Marenisco Cemetery.
