Idol Voices

Alexandra Olson of Hurley, a Gogebic Community College cosmetology student, applies lipstick to Brooke Sherwood of Ironwood before Friday night's HIT Idol singing contest at the Historic Ironwood Theatre. Sherwood was one of 29 contestants. They competed in three age categories and the winners will be announced this evening at a 7 o'clock performance that will include headliner Lee DeWyze, winner of American Idol's season 9. Besides numbers by DeWyze and the HIT Idol winners, all the contestants will be back on stage tonight in large group numbers.
