Rachael Stengard, administrative assistant with Coleman Engineering, tends the company's Santa's Headquarters Christmas tree in the Ironwood office Wednesday afternoon. It's one of 20 trees around Gogebic County in businesses, churches and community buildings bearing ornaments with the age and gender of a child signed up for the community giving project. Organizers asked the community to take an ornament, purchase a gift and bring it back to the tree by Friday at 1 p.m. The 25 ornaments on Coleman's tree have been spoken for by company employees. Santa's helpers will collect the gifts and sort them for distribution next week. Anyone wishing to donate a gift can bring it to the Memorial Building in Ironwood on Monday morning. Distribution to those signed up for the program will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Memorial Building, and on Thursday, Dec. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Watersmeet Volunteer Fire Department.
