IRONWOOD, Mich. - Charles Duane Smith, 36 of Ironwood, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, in Ironwood.
He was born April 28, 1981, the son of the late Duane and Shirley (Olson) Smith.
He was united in marriage to Tiffany Dawn Wiemerslage on Feb. 12, 2009, in Bessemer. Charles was currently employed at Ironwood Plastics where he worked since 2002. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Gogebic in Bergland.
He is survived by his wife, Tiffany; his sons, Aiden Duane Smith, Colin Duane Smith and Brady Thomas Smith, all of Ironwood; his brother, Jim (Cheryl) Taylor of Muskegon; three sisters, Ruth Ann (Nick) Mieloszyk of Ironwood Township, Billie Jo (Tom) Stanek of Brainerd, Minn., and Christy (Jeff) Havela of Bergland; father-in-law, Willie Wiemerslage of Hurley, Wis .; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Ronda Hix) Kawalski of Hurley, and Shawn (Karin) Javanovich of Elk Mound, Wis .; two sisters-in-law, Wendi (Todd) Barber of Naperville, Ill., and Rose Petersen of Chippewa Falls, Wis .; numerous nieces and nephews; his best friend, Vinnie Wettberg of Wausau, Wis .; and his Ironwood Plastics family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home of Bessemer.
