Bessemer - The city of Bessemer contracts with Eagle Waste and Recycling for its trash and recycling. This week Bessemer has a substitute driver and he found some of the conditions treacherous on Monday and Tuesday as he was making his rounds.
The Daily Globe reached out to Eagle Waste and Recycling Tuesday afternoon to discover what residents ought to do with their trash and recycling if they have not been picked up. Krista McCrumb said the truck was almost full as of 3:30 p.m., and the driver would be heading back to the office. McCrumb said residents need to keep their cans out today as the driver is coming through and picking up the recycling and trash that were missed on Bessemer's Monday and Tuesday assigned days.
