Iron County University of Wisconsin-Extension has a new group of Master Gardener graduates. The group successfully completed 40 hours of classroom work, passed a final exam and completed a final project to graduate, according to horticulture educator Darrin Kimbler. The group includes; first row, from left: Chandra Moreno, Linda Frisbey, Melissa Geach, Jennifer Kangas and Jacey Roncali; second row: Chris Moreno, Donna Wilcox, Alyssa Rogo, Jeanne Walston, Gene Barsheny, Anita Kutz, Cheryl Jacisin, Sharlene Shaffer, Shelly Roncali, Lori Kutz and Meg Kolesar. The next step for the class is to complete at least 24 hours of volunteer service in the community this year to become certified Master Gardener volunteers. Anyone with questions about the Master Gardener Volunteer program is encouraged to contact Kimbler at the Iron County Extension office in the Iron County Courthouse at Hurley.
