WAKEFIELD-MARENISCO grade school-aged children race cardboard sleds down the hill on the west side of the school in the second annual races to see who could get the farthest on their artistic and stylish creations. Family members lined the hill's perimeter to cheer and take pictures of the happy youths enjoying the bright sun and snow. Matthew Sokolowski, on the left, and Killian Spencer, on the right, rode tandem in their cardboard toboggan Wednesday afternoon in the grade school cardboard races. Samuel Hautala pushed the two racers so they could reach the greatest distance possible.
