MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Patricia "Pat" Johnson, 76, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born on Sept. 24, 1941 in Bessemer Township, Mich., the daughter of the late Delbert and Ann (Gayan) Peterson. She was educated in the schools of Bessemer, Mich. Patricia married Mervyn Johnson on Nov. 28, 1959 in Ironwood, Mich. She was employed as a Retail Associate at KMart for 30 years. Patricia was a long-time member of the Tabernacle Church. Her hobbies included cooking and baking, spoiling her grandchildren with gifts, playing the accordion and organ, sewing, painting, gardening, bargain hunting, camping and fishing with her husband, and most of all spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and "Grandma's little sweetheart," Marco.
Survivors include her loving husband, Mervyn Johnson of Kenosha; son, Curtis (Linda) Johnson of Kenosha; daughter, Susan (Eldred) Woodman of Kenosha; 2 sisters, Kathy (John) Stipanuk of Wheaton, Ill. and Betty (Mike) Anderson of Kenosha; 5 grandchildren, David (Kellie), Lucas (Alyssa), and Mitchell Johnson, Christina (Nathan) Duran and Robyn Woodman; great-grandchild, Marco Duran and a sister-in-law, Sue Peterson. Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Don Peterson.
A visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, from 5-8 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services and again on Thursday, March 22, at The Tabernacle, 7951 36th Avenue, Kenosha, WI., 53142, from 10-11 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
