Ironwood - Local area businesses and non-profits provided tables with fun and games for kids and their parents Tuesday at the Ironwood Memorial Building. Erin Ross, MSU Extension educator said the tables are free to businesses, but the business must include a fun event for kids with the promotion.
Ross said the Family Fun night was ten years old and is held in conjunction with the Parenting Awareness month. Tracie Wittla, Gogebic County chief assistant prosecutor, manned a booth for the prosecutors office where kids could make their own Mardi Gras masks.
Door prizes were handed out as kids were exposed to everything from Sheriff's Department giveaways to healthy snack food items.
