IRONWOOD, Mich. — Theodore Terry Herman Raisanen, 73, of Wakefield, and former Palmer resident, passed away Sunday evening, April 8, 2018, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital.
Ted was born April 8, 1945, in Ishpeming to Karl and Hilja (Hyvonen) Raisanen and attended the Palmer school. He spent many years living with his brother in Mass City and had most recently been living at the Keen Ager Adult Foster Care Home in Wakefield.
Ted enjoyed doing odd jobs around the home, making firewood, cutting grass and liked visiting with people throughout the community in which he lived.
Surviving are his two brothers, Carl Raisanen, of Hurley, Wis., and Frank Raisanen, of Palmer; nieces and nephews Nancy Young and Bob (Heidi) Raisanen, both of Ontonagon, Judy (Ray) Sandy and Patty (Larry) Bowman, both of Mass City, Dale (Susie) Raisanen, of Menominee, and Brook (Fran) Raisanen, of Ishpeming.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at Koskey Funeral Home, with Rev. Lauri Maki, Pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, Ishpeming, officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday.
