IRONWOOD — The city of Ironwood will receive a $469,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
City Manager Scott Erickson announced the grant near the end of Monday’s regular city commission meeting.
Erickson said the grant will be used for inventorying the city’s water distribution system.
It was awarded through the DEQ’s clean drinking water program.
It will not require a city match.
Following the meeting, Erickson said the city applied for the grant about a month ago and was notified Monday that it will receive it.
